Ohio Showcase Cup Tournament

Remember that your team and your coaches must be registered with the NCAA PRIOR to participation in this event. Failure to do so will result in being denied participation when you arrive at the event check-in. Keep in mind that to satisfy this requirement you must register both your team and your entire coaching staff that wishes to be on the team bench during the game. To do so, use the following links:

Please keep in mind that registration for coaches through the NCAA site can take as much as two weeks. Again, if you are not fully registered, WE MUST DENY YOU PARTICIPATION IN ALL EVENT ACTIVITIES. Tournament Host: Wes Hockman and the Columbus Lady Rage

Tournament Dates: Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20, 2008

Educational Session: SATURDAY, April 19, 2008:  10:00 AM, 11:15 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:45 PM, 3:45 PM, and 5:15 PM.
MANDATORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES

Age Groups: 12U-13U,14U-15U, and 16U-18U. This is a NCAA sanctioned event.

Games Officiated By: Ohio High School Officials

Entry Fee: $325.00

Roster Limit: 15 Players per Team

Entry Deadline: Saturday, April 12, 2008...Additional entries accepted as space allows.

Rules:

1. Play: 4 Games Guaranteed; 3 in Pool Play followed by single elimination tournament.
   
2. Running Clock except for last three (3) minutes of each half.
   
3. No restrictions on offenses or defenses.
   
4. Two twenty (20) minute halves.
   
5. Played under National Federation High School Rules with the exception of six (6) fouls being allowed before fouling out.
   
6. Two (2) full and one (1) 30 second timeout per half, no carry overs.
   
7. First two overtimes are three (3) minutes followed by sudden death.
   
8. Age guidelines and restrictions will strictly follow AAU rules.
   
9. You may be asked to provide proof of age (birth certificate) by the tournament staff.  It is a good idea to bring birth certificates on all of your players.
